Single Motor Riser Recliner Chairs
Here you will find our range of Single Motor Riser Recliners, sometimes referred to as Tilt and Lift chairs.
Whilst single motor chairs are an economical option, it is important to understand that having a single motor affects the reclining movement. When a chair reclines, the backrest and footrest move in unison. Therefore the footrest and backrest cannot be adjusted independently with a single motor. This is reflected in the price range.
The rising function however is unaffected whether there is a single or twin motor.
There will be a variation of motion between models. With most single motor riser recliners the footrest rises before the backrest with the two moving at the same time as the footrest reaches its highest point. The backrest will then continue to recline to its lowest point.
Single motor riser recliners do not fully recline however. They usually recline to a 45 degree angle which is regarded as suitable for watching TV or for talking with someone. If you wish to sleep in the chair with the backrest fully reclined in a horizontal position it is recommended that you consider a dual motor riser recliner instead.
